What’s provided at Hazel Brow

We’ve thought of your every need, or We think we’ve thought of your every need!

We like to look after our guests at Hazel Brow and to help you make the most of your special time we provide you with all the facilities you’ll need to cater for, and entertain a large group of friends and family. The house is well equipped whether you want to cook up a storm with local ingredients on the Aga cooker or get the barbeque going. For the adventurous who want to explore the Dale or roam the moors we’ve a wide range of guide books and maps.

An extensive range of services and optional extras are available from private chefs to spa treatments or hot tub hire.  We hope we’ve thought of everything for everyone!

Essential Information

The Accommodation

Hazel Brow House sleeps up to 15 people, has 8 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a downstairs W.C. and a wet room.

The sitting room and snug have open fires and are well equipped with TV’s, a blue tooth music player, games, books and maps. White table linen is provided for the dining room, along with candles and tea lights. Luxury soft towels, crisp linens and our hand crafted guests soaps are provided in the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Aga

It wouldn’t be a country retreat without an aga to cook on!

BBQ

Enjoy some outdoor cooking with beautiful views, using our built-in BBQ patio area.

Travel cots & high chairs

Available on request.

Essential Information

The Kitchen

The kitchen and pantry have ample storage space and all the modern conveniences/equipment you would expect including, fridges, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, conventional electric oven and ceramic hob plus the good old heart of the house, the oil fired Aga cooker.

There’s plenty of large pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware.

The kitchens was very well equipped and we did all the catering for the wedding feast and all the other meals for our entire stay.

Essential information

The Boot Room

The spacious boot room is well equipped with excellent washing and drying facilities, and there’s even a wet room where you can shower off the outdoors you have collected whilst out walking through our stunning Dale. This is suitable for boots, wellies, coats and the dog!

Outside

Outside, the extensive and private garden has patios with outdoor seating and a barbeque. The lower lawn has an area where you can enjoy a game of croquet to ‘Hazel Brow Rules’! (croquet set provided). The steeply sloping lawns lead down to a private footpath to the River Swale where trout fishing is available in season.

There’s a large lockable garage suitable for a car and bikes (bike racks provided). We have off road parking for up to 5 further cars.

Services

Whilst we welcome children, you will need to keep an eye on them as there are steep stair cases and stepped floor levels inside and terraced areas and steps outside. We can provide travel cots and high chairs on request. Contact us if you require babysitting services.

A Wi-Fi connection is available but sorry, no mobile telephone signal although we do provide a landline telephone for outgoing calls.

We welcome well behaved dogs and can provide a dog crate on request.

Don’t forget to ask about Alpaca walks – a novelty you’ll always remember and a chance for some great ‘selfies’ with your soon to be, favourite fluffy friends!
